Do this today to reveal your purpose in life.
Who are you really? Underneath the person you think you’re supposed to be. Beyond the person that your parents, family members and friends told you that you were.
Deep in your heart, where it can be scary to even admit to yourself.. Who are you?
If you are struggling with answering that question here is what you can do right now to gain clarity and insight into the magical Divine being you are.
What you’ll need:
Something to write on (paper, your phone, Google Doc, a journal. Use whatever is most natural for you.)
Something to write with
30 minutes
Gather your supplies and head somewhere you will not be disturbed. During this exercise you have only one intention: hearing from yourself.
Write the very first thing that pops into your mind upon reading these questions.. Remember! The more you put into this, the more you will get out. If you are looking for real answers, dig deep and allow yourself to give real responses.
In 3-5 sentences (or more!) answer the following:
What brings you joy?
What energizes you?
What makes your soul soar?
Take two full, deep breaths.
Feel within for your highest Self, let that Peaceful energy flow through you, within you, let it surround you. Now..
Write down your dreams and your desires. Be courageous. Have the audacity. Be “obnoxious”. Be “extra”. Write down those thoughts that scare the hell out of you and cause you to almost visibly shrink away. Write down the things that make you uncomfortable and start to sweat a little. ✨
If money was no issue, if time was no issue, if circumstances were no issue: What would you do? Why would you do this?
In your dream world, what would you be doing in 10 years?
If anything was possible, where would you be in 5 years?
In your ideal, anything-can-happen world, what is going on on this date 3 years from now?
Now read it all back to yourself and ask yourself: Who would I have to be today if I lived this life? If I was my highest, grandest, most unapologetic self what would this look like? Write this down.
This is who you are. Anything you genuinely desire can be made real. God did not give you desires to never see them come to fruition. God did not give you dreams to never see them made real.
Here is the real truth.. The only way to those desires is by sharing your true self with the world. The physical objects and experiences you have externally are a symbol of your connection with the Divine internally. Your gifts are literal gifts from God to pour onto others - bringing value and support into their lives, fulfilling your true purpose.
““As above, so below, as within, so without...””
But what are my gift and talents?
You already know them. In fact, you have already pointed them out by name. Your gifts and talents lie within your responses to the first four journaling questions from earlier. They are those things that just come easy to you. Yes you have to work at them, but you seem naturally inclined to understand them a bit better than others around you. Those questions that people always come to you to solve. That activity that you can do for hours and hours and not even notice you haven’t eaten, checked your phone or moved from that space. Those are your gifts. No gift is too small.
Everything you desire is unique to you and can only come through you actively sharing your unique talent with the world. Learn to monetize one gift that you know can improve another’s quality of life and help them to see their own power within themselves. This is your next step once you have revealed your purpose.
If you leave this post with just one thing, know that you are deserving of the life of your dreams. Living happy, full, peaceful and ALIVE is your birthright. Now that you know your purpose, you must take the next step of moving forward within it.
But first, express gratitude towards yourself for digging deep today and learning more about who you really are. This is a HUGE step. It’s okay if it feels a little scary and uncertain right now. Take a moment to feel for that love, peace and bigness within you now. Right now. You are powerful. You are compassionate. You are gifted. You are worthy.
Marinate in this for a few minutes. Calmly close your eyes and settle into the feeling of the Real You.
